Danial Restaurant Review

Summary – Clean with good service. Lots of choice for a reasonable price

I’ve visited Danial 3 times in the past 7 months and always have a good experience.

The restaurant is busy but it is large with many tables giving you privacy to enjoy your meal. The buffet is huge so no waiting in line to add items to your plate. The food is mainly Iranian with some Arabic, Punjabi and pasta dishes to choose from. There is something for everyone, vegetarians included.

Rather than pile out plates high we prefer sampling small amounts at a time ensuring the food is always warm when we eat it and then go back for more of what we enjoyed and add in something new we haven’t yet tried.

The soup is average but the salad bar is very good. A large bottle of water is extra but a small basket of bread is included in the price. The grilled Hamour fish is a little buttery but I have it every time I visit it’s so good as are the stuffed vine leaves. There are also kebabs, chicken and lamb dishes and a large offering of grilled and breaded fish along with pickled vegetables and rice. The desserts could be improved but after you have eaten the main course you don’t always have much room left for a sweet. Some of the small baklava are good and you can never go wrong with jelly and for a small extra charge, various flavours of ice-cream.

If you don’t want to sit in you can also take away. The staff provide you with cartons for you to fill with whatever you want from the buffet, the price is the same as for sit down dinner.

It is perhaps not the most romantic place to go for dinner but it is very family friendly and when you are really hungry, for the price, even if you have spent the day down on the corniche, it is still the best place to head for in Ajman.

If you don’t know Ajman, Danial is located in what is called the Black Square, which comprises the Ramada Hotel and Suites, not to be confused with the Ramada Beach hotel at the corniche, and a small shopping mall on the ground floor at the front of the square. The restaurant entrances are located inside the shopping mall, one at the front of the square and the other to the right hand side of the restaurant giving access to the toilets which are located in the mall close the entrance for the Ramada hotel. There is ample parking to the left and front of the restaurant and there is seating outside for cooler days or customers who smoke however the restaurant is close to the main road so this can be noisy due to the traffic.
